Tee是城里的一位成功商人，他久别后回到家乡，去查看一栋打算出售的老房子。在那里，他和旧情人Poom重逢了，Poom在老房子的一楼开了一家咖啡馆。两人此前已将过去的感情尘封，然而随着他们在同一空间共处，“停摆的时钟”再度开始运转……出售老房子的截止日期、和父亲的矛盾，还有“再抱他一次”的欲望，都成了故事的组成部分。

In this early work, Jonas translates her performance strategies to video, applying the inherent properties of the medium to her investigations of the self and the body. Jonas performs in a direct, one-on-one confrontation with the viewer, using the immediacy and intimacy of video as conceptual constructs. Exploring video as both a mirror and a masking device, and using her body as an art object, she undertakes an examination of self and identity, subjectivity and objectivity. Creating a series of inversions, she splits her image, splits the video screen, and splits her identification within the video space, playing with the spatial ambiguity of non-reversed images (video) and reversed images (mirrors). Though Jonas’ approach is formalist and reductive, her performance reveals an ironic theatricality. Illustrating the phenomenology of video as a mirror, Left Side Right Side is a classic of early performance-based, conceptual video. (Letterboxd)

日高あや子（42）は、夫・聡（40）と保彦（17）、ゆうか（13）、洋介（9）ら子供3人と暮らす専業主婦。姑の早苗（63）とも結婚以来同居してきた。家事はあや子が仕切り、早苗は女性雑誌の編集長として働き、仲のいい嫁姑だった。 　　早苗（63）は大手出版社で人気女性誌の編集長を長年務めてきたベテラン編集者。キャリアウーマンの草分けの世代として、年を感じさせないパワーで若い編集者を引っ張ってきた。そんな彼女に、ついに定年退職の日がやってきた。 　　あや子は、姑の退職を実は心待ちにしていた。あや子は専業主婦をしながら、ケーキづくりの趣味があり、いつかはこの趣味を生かして仕事にしたいと考えていたのだ。早苗が退職すれば家の家事を半分くらい任せられるから、専門学校に通える…、と。 　　一方、早苗は、幸か不幸か、これまで家事というものをほとんどしていない。息子の聡が結婚するまでは、早苗の実の母が健在で家事一切をしてくれたし、聡が結婚してからは、嫁のあや子が専業主婦だったので、家事を一切気にかけず仕事に打ち込むことができたのだ。 　　いよいよ早苗の退職の日、早苗が出かけた後、日高家では、「今日は家族全員早く帰宅し、早苗の退職パーティーをしよう」と決める。 　　しかし、その日、早苗が最後の仕事を終えて帰ってきたのは、朝だった。腕によりをかけてご馳走を作っていたあや子をはじめ、家族は待ちぼうけでがっかり。それが大騒動の始まりとなる。早苗は名誉を挽回しようと、自分で料理を作ろうとするが、女性誌でおいしい店の特集はさんざんしてきたものの、いざ取り掛かると手際は悪いし、時間がかかる。新しい洗濯機も扱い方がわからない。次々と失敗を重ね、早苗が「家事音痴」であることが明らかになってしまう…。

Taxi driver Sang-gu is an ordinary father who has made a happy family.
